Custom invitation for a Swedish/Moroccan/Persian wedding – printed in gold letterpress on 500GSM textured paper stock.
50th Letterpress Invitation
This bespoke birthday invitation was created using a mixture of hand drawn lettering. It was printed on beautiful 450gsm paper stock using two colour letterpress.
I designed this invitation for a surprise trip I organised. The whole studio was flown down to Tasmania and spent the day at the MONA museum. Safe to say, it was the best team building experience I've been a part of! Hand lettering printed on 100gsm opaque fluorescent paper stock.
I love surprises.
Keep Calm and Marry John
I worked on this bespoke invitation with Mike Rigby and to him, it was every designer's nightmare brief - create an invitation for the wedding of two close friends. John and Sarah wanted to avoid all of the romantic cliches associated with wedding invitations. Instead, our brief was to create something fun and unique and capture their playful sense of humour.
A homage to the often parodied 1939 government poster emerged. Invitees receive either a printed poster, tea towel or mug. The play on words captures the couple's sense of humour as well as referencing the nerves often felt on the big day. The crown icon of the original poster was replaced by a wedding ring and each item is hand numbered, providing a limited edition keepsake for friends and family.
Griffin Theatre Show Invite
For the opening night of the new theatre Angela's Kitchen, Griffin theatre Company needed an invitation that would capture someone's attention. The origami boat invitation was created to reflect the storyline of the theatre itself.
